Pool closure impacts Games bid — Duh!
Along with this no-brainer, the closure of the Sportsplex pool will affect every segment of the economic community in Brandon. Where are the retailers and hoteliers who, strictly for their own good, should be a thunderous roar against the pool closure? The pool itself was pretty much a gift, I recall, as a part of the facility windfall for hosting the Canada Winter Games. No one should be returned to office in this fall’s election who is voting to close the Sportsplex.

A projector is an apparatus for presenting an enlarged image on a screen from a transparency such as a photographic slide or a film. Property developer is among SCF borrowers

Among the Wellington-based borrowers of South Canterbury Finance (SCF) funds is big property developer and Phoenix football club owner Terry Serepisos.
A recent Sunday Star- Times article said, Serepisos owned an investment portfolio with a ratings value of over $230 million. SCF had provided finance on five Serepisos-controlled buildings including 72 Tory St, Te Aro, otherwise known as the Century City Apartments of which a Serepisos company owns 200 units, the newspaper said.
